| Policy On Signature Lines, Homepage Links & Other Profile Sections |
| Since we really don't have time to deal with complaints from others about controversial signatures, homepage links, or other profile sections, and then having to decide where the line is and what crosses it, etc., we've decided to just make our policy on them: No political, racial, sexist, homophobic, religious, etc., agendas. Also, while it is acceptable to use a small image (in regards to screen and file size) and a reasonable size font in your signature line, anything that we deem to be excessive and/or obnoxious and/or a drag on system resources will be deleted or modified at our discretion. Thanks for your cooperation. |
| Why Can't I Register Using My (banned) Email? |
| If your registration is rejected due to the email address used it is because enough scumbag spammers have registered using the same email provider (the part that comes after the '@') to the point that we have had to simply deny any new registrations using it. So, please just try again using a different email address. If you are one of the rare people out there who do not have more than one email address, it shouldn't be too difficult here in the 21st Century to go find and activate a new one within a few minutes. Google is your friend. (Gmail, at the moment, however, is not). If that makes you feel the need to throw a Liza Minelli-style hissy fit, please direct your annoyance towards the spam-friendly email provider and the spammers themselves, who cause these hassles, and not us. | Our policy is simple: Go fuck yourself. Homepage & Signature fields and our member list are searched regularly for 'known' Spam terms and keywords. Besides that, it's a waste of your time anyway because users without a minimum designated number of legitimate posts do not show up on our public User List. So, your Spam crap won't be seen by our members or indexed in search engines, etc., if you do happen to slip by for a few fleeting minutes before you're found out and banned. If you represent a musical concern and want to promote it there are legitimate channels available to you for that. This is a music-based site after all. However, we don't take kindly to being treated like morons, so those who pretend to not be affiliated with the labels, PR companies, management companies, bands, etc. they are affiliated with, and who try to promote these concerns as innocent, ignorant "fans" will be publicly outed, ridiculed, and eventually banned as well... once we're done with the outing and ridiculing. We have a large, though mostly interconnected membership here. If you think you will PM Spam you will absolutely hit someone who will quickly alert us to your scumbaggery and you will be banned.
