Agreed profusely.
On another note, don't click that link and reply to the thread. Apparently you will reply as Turkey. Which happened to me...bizarre.

Why are Internet people so sensitive and so judgemental??? I'll say basically the same thing I said over at "SR.com". We did find it completely typical in this MTV/appearance-driven music world how someone would comment on our haircuts at a rock show. However, in that interview we were just messing around. It's not like we actually hated the girl for saying that. Guess we'll be more "P.C." from now on in interviews. JESUS!! I feel like not going on a message board anymore. It just irritates me. If people would spend half as much energy at live shows as they do on goddamn message boards...
OK, just to spell things out a bit more - that was me venting...I don't actually intend on not posting anymore :D Those of you who know me, should know by now to take pretty much everything I say with a grain of salt when I'm drinking.

Wait, so I shouldn’t be taking everything I read on the internet at face value?

That's not true. I actually don't drink very much anymore. Usually, just special occasions … like the evening.
Seriously, I really don't drink very much anymore. I hate the way it makes my wallet feel.

Oh please. You'd have to be drunk to get a hair cut like that.
Thank you for perfectly setting that one up :D

:!: Oh sweet merciful crap. Hair cuts. Is this what the stoner kids are talking about these days. In my day we were too busy bitching about who was better Jack Bruce or John Paul Jones. I mean don't get me wrong I love the new blood out there trying to play some music but I have a novel idea for all the kids over at stoner rock .com. Now stay with me, how about you stop bitching about our hair being short and affecting our music and start playing your own fucking grooves for us to enjoy. Oh yeah, that haircut crack, I know it's not the case for the rest of them but for this member of Throttlerod the haircut is less voluntary these days. Three words..........Male............Pattern...........B aldness.
p.s.
I'm venting too

I think Matt's hair is dreamy and Bo's t-shirts make my knot clench.
Hang on...you guys play music?

Hair first. Music second. It takes forever for me to curl my hair before a show. It makes me feel so good when people notice. I tried to get Bo to perm his hair for his last show, but he wouldn't. Pussy.
I tried to get Kevin to grow hair for our last show...he couldn't. Pussy.
Just a joke, Kevin.

NO NO NO.. KC I think you are right, Kevin IS a pussy.
If he was REALLY dedicated to the hair band that is T-Rod, he WOULD have by any means necessary grown some fucking hair.
I think you might want to sit the boy down and have a serious talk with him about his priorities. MPB aside, if we was commited to this, he'd grow some fucking hair.
I mean, i've seen you back stage for three hours with rollers all over your goddamned head so your quaff could be perfect for the fans, because that's what they really want to see. That's why they are there, for the fashion show that TR brings to town.
So if Kevin where serious about his role as a member of the next great hair band then he would be bathing for 3 hours a day in hair growth hormones if that is what it took.
Damn... gotta put the pipe down before 5pm... sorry......

Shit, you should see what it was like for those retards to get ready in the morning when they stay with me. Curlers, crimpers, blow dryers and curling irons. Not to mention the gel, mousse, hairspray, conditioners and wax treatments. And that was for the ride home, not even a show.

I don't doubt it at all.
the backroom at the Brewery here smelled like an Aqua Net factory exploded when they last played.
Rumor has it that is the reason The Brewery was closed down, because it was a health hazzard with all those flourocarbons flying around, it wasn't safe to breathe in there.
So, the real scoop on The Brewery closing here in Raleigh... It's all because of Throttlerod...

I heard about the Brewery closing. That absolutely bites! The last thing the Triangle needs is one less rock venue. That leaves King's and the Local 5 or 6.

our band needs a freakin controversy, mang.
maybe a 'shaving' conspiracy? hmmm
anyway, when is Throttlerod coming back to Indy?

Sorry. I tried.
Besides, this isn't about your damn band. This is about Throttlerod. And their perms.

:loaded: I think I have come up with the solution to my hair problem. I hear tell that they are transplanting the ass hair of the wild Tasmanian shit monkey with great success. You smell like hell but damn you look good. It is quite a costly process so Throttlerod will be taking large cash donations for the process. Remember, you ain't a true T-Rod fan untill you have given us money, lots and lots of money. Sweet, beautiful, tasty money. Money,money,money............................sorry , I got lost there. What were we talking about again. Wait, is it 4:20. Aw hell its 4:20 somewhere I need to find good ole' Billy Bong Thornton.

Sativa...
Yeah, the Brewery closing sucks, but only because they had the best sound man in town.
There is a new venue opening tomorrow night downtown where The Retail club used to be, it is now called Martin Street Music Hall.
Not sure what kind of crowd they'll have down there, but it is only 2 blocks from the Berkely and two blocks from The Pourhouse as well as two blocks from The Lincoln Theatre. So you'll have to go downtown for shows now.
They are posting on NCScene.com about having rock/metal/etc type bands playing there.
We are looking at doing a show there on April 10th with a band you might know.

That's great news! I have no problems going downtown. Frankly, the farther away I am from that part of Hillsborough St., the better, especially during basketball season.
I'll check out the site and keep my fingers crossed for some good shows. Thanks for the tip!
The Brewery did have damn good sound.
