What
I got was some fuckin' ROCK N ROLL, boy! Instead of reaching way back
into the 70's for the usual aforementioned refried riffage, Slut 'Em Go
reach back for a bit of that Zappa-like aesthetic and combine it with
a bit of of the best of alt rock. I'm talking the glory days stuff of
fIREHOSE, some Meat Puppets, maybe some Super Chunk, some Pavement, even
some Milo Goes to College -era Descendents. Those familiar with
stoner/prog kings Mammoth
Volume will most certainly dig Slut 'Em Go. Rawking groove-breaks
slide into shimmering guitar solos and witty lyricism. There's something
about rawk chicks singing about "pulling pussy", you know? Giving
birth to chickens isn't quite the same sort of turn on, but at least it's
different from the usual stuff I get centering on worshiping Satan, pissing
on Christianity and space ships.

have to be honest by saying, despite the nice note I got from one of the
two Michaels in Slut 'Em Go with the promo copy of The Disrespectful
Beat, I thought this was gonna suck. And I'm not sure why. I guess
I expected another 70's Lynryd Skynyrd/Grand Funk rehash. Plus what kinda
name is "Slut 'Em Go" anyway?!
