I knew from the moment I read the track listing that I would like these guys, with songtitles like "You're Nothing But a Piece of Shit" and "I Hate You" how could I not like them? Later on I learned that these guys recorded a CD with the late master of shock rock, El Duce from The Mentors. And that just ups their credibility as a true underground band to me. El Duce is the most fucked up, funniest, sickest guy that I can think of. The first lyrics on the disc are "fuck you" and it just gets better from there. These guys are sick, twisted, degenerates who write songs about things that most people would never even talk about in private. Hell, there's a ballad on here called "I Like Shit", who in their right fucking mind writes love songs about feces? The song
lyrics absolutely kill me and the first time I listened to this disc,
I had some friends over and it was the first time in long time I actually
laughed outloud until my stomach hurt. I'd say for anyone who likes Gwar, The Mentors, and Green Jelly, you would definitely like this. Or for the more adventuresome CH readers out there who would like to add something new to their collection this would be a good addition. But if you are easily offended you might want to stay the hell away from Gardy-Loo!. Personally I dig the hell out of these guys, but I'm not right in the head. From
what I could make out the name Gardy-Loo! comes from an expression people
used in the old days when they dumped their shit buckets out of the window
and into the gutters of London. It more or less meant "get the fuck
out of the way or you will be covered in urine and feces". Which
I guess also describes the band in a way. Get out of the way or you will
be subjeted to songs about garbage dumps, shit, death, and more shit.
