Reviews The
Cumshots - The Last Sons of Evil (This Dark Reign Records)

Ole
Petter Andreassen, (aka El Doom) the producer/mastermind/guitar pyrotechnician/king
of odd stage names, behind the mighty Thulsa
Doom, Black Debbath, Hellride, The Wonderfools, Gluecifer and many
others, decided that Norway needed a shot of heavy metal in it's withered
arm. So The Cumshots were born.
If
you just took the Cumshots at face value, meaning the uber-gay stag gay
porn album cover and band monikor, you'd probably guess that the Cumshots
were starting a leather boy heavy music revolution in Norway.
Nope. They'd probably sell a ton more albums if they called themselves
"Satan's Ballsack", but that's not really the point. The point
is that The Cumshots deliver the best Entombed-inspired album since...well
since Entombed's To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth. Brutally
raw, death n' roll accentuated by Max Cargo's larynx-searing vocals and
Rodriguez Morales' meth-metal drumming. Eleven trachea-ripping glimpses
of brutality. Killing, shooting, fucking, Satan, fear, and homo-erotic
album covers. Kind of mirrors your life in a lot of ways, doesn't it?
